Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?

It's better to use your own and creative ideas to prepare whatever fruits or veggies you have in hand to create masks, cleansers, creams and sun protection or it's better to go for the secure by purchasing somewhat expensive brands but with a guranteed that you'll get optimum results and product quality and variety?

Like Eminence Organics have a wide variety of products for eah need and also rare products that it'll be very difficult to find if you wanty to make your own home made products.

What do you think will be best for the skin?

Thank you! Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?
Well, I like the fact that the major manufacturers have done the research already. Saves me messing up my kitchen 8-)

Personally, I like the tried %26amp; true basic 3 steps:

Cleanse, Tone, %26amp; Moisturize.

1. Cleanse twice a day. I buy Olay cleansing cloths in bulk from Costco. I use them 2 times a day. Once a week I replace it with a scrub (a little abrasive) or you could just add some sugar to the cleansing cloth for the same effect. ps, I also use a washcloth in the shower. It's sort-of an abrasive without the chemicals.

2. TONER!! Don't leave this step out. I use Mary Kay formula 2 toner. Most toners are simply alcohol with other basic ingredients. But, of course, not being a scientist, I don't know the amounts they use in conjunction with the other ingredients. But personally, I think toner is the most important step. It cleanses out the pores. Use it all over the face %26amp; neck.

3. Moisturize with a SPF 15 moisture. Use it oll over face %26amp; neck before putting on makeup. I use Olay Total Effects.

I have an extra secret item I use in my skin care regiment that I'll share with you. I really love this stuff. It's Alpha Hydroxy. Alpha Hydroxy is in a lot of beauty products at different strengths and varies in cost up to over $100.00. But I get it in, what I think is the best product on the market, for only $6.99 for 1.7 oz. What I buy is a product called ';Alpha Hydrox, the Original.'; I get it at Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond (they now have a beauty section) and it comes in a red box. I use a dot on my finger after the Toner has dried, then I use moisturizer after that. You won't believe how soft your skin is after just a few days. I also use it on my elbows and heels to keep them soft.

I'm in my 50s and people are always telling me they can't believe I'm a Grandmother.

Pick up a book called ';How not to look old'; by Charla Krupp. It's full of great beauty tips.

for women the Australian Bush Flower Essences Woman cream and drops are the best, adding to that a good filtered wild fish oil to the diet will also help a lot.

Eating more leafy greens as well.

I've always found that ';home remedy'; type solutions are great for everyday health and beauty.

I always like to think - before there were mass-produced products, people indeed relied on nature. Why change it if it works?

I have never been into the whole organic/green type products whatsoever. I have used Lancome and Chanel skin care since college. But I have to say that my friend's salon just started carrying that Eminence Line, and he gave me a few samples to try. The masks are really nice, and I tried a few cleansers. I would not switch, but I would definitely use a mask every now and then!

vaseline is good for anywhere, nails, eyes, lips etc and is one of Tyra Banks favourite make up products

Paracetamol is my secret weapon against cold sores. As soon as you feel that tell tale tingle, mash up half a pill in water to make a thick paste apply it to the area that is tingling and allow to dry, dust off... It completely kills it and is often a lifesaver before a hot date.

yoghurt is great for sunburn because it is an Active ingredient and is cooling

if you only have your lipstick in your bag, use your fingers to gently apply it to the apples of your cheeks and eyelids for a quick fix

  • Why does everybody say beauty is skin deep? who cares any ways you can only see the outside any ways?

my bf always tells me to stop worrying about the way i look. but when you look good it makes you feel good. if you look like crap your going 2 feel like crap. Why does everybody say beauty is skin deep? who cares any ways you can only see the outside any ways?
But if you're totally hot and an inconsiderate or bad person, you end up lonely, a one-night stand, and completely unfulfilled.

I'll take ugly %26amp; loved any day.

How you feel about yourself is a state of mind. If you have a self-esteem ritual you need to feel good about yourself, maybe you want to look at that as an addiction and get over it. ';Looking like crap'; is your opinion, and you are your own worst critic.

Look at Hendrix, Cobain, Morrison, MLK, The Queen, THatcher(shudder), Woopi, Diane Fossi, Winnie Mandela...none of them are beauty queens and they're beloved by millions. You think they need an hour to get ready? Why does everybody say beauty is skin deep? who cares any ways you can only see the outside any ways?
yeah i agree with u. i think the ';beauty skin deep thing'; is trying to say u can look good....great on the outside ...just make sure the good thing that u have goin on the outside make SURE its on the inside to...get it?
Because the outer shell is what we have to deal with. The inner core, no matter how black and disgusting it may be is not something we see on a daily basis, or at all. That line is used to make people who are ugly feel better about themselves.

But the thing is that a person who is happy and self confident doesn't always appear ugly to some people. So, yes, if you feel horrible about yourself, it will definitely show. And nobody wants to be around a person who has a cloud over their head.
Maybe you talk too much about how you look. maybe it bugs him.
I know what you mean. Even back when I told people that I don't care what someone looks like, I realized that I do care--a lot!

Looks are important for first impressions and often for confidence. However, when you've gotten to know someone, then yes, looks won't matter nearly as much. Another instance is when you run into gorgeous people with rotten attitudes. So there are times when that is the case.

There's nothing wrong with having great hygiene and taking care of the body and taking joy in looking good. But if it becomes an obsession, it's not healthy. Plus, you start annoying your friends with your obsession. So, in that case, beauty is skin deep in the fact that it is not the most important thing in life.
If you have to look good to feel good, thats called vanity.

If you feel bad ok you may look bad, But if you cant laugh with a mud pie on your head and your face smeared you are some plastic doll.

To be dirty is nasty and to be unkempt is a bad look.
well you pretty much said it,
You have a good point and that is VERY TRUE, BUT....it is true that true beauty is skin deep. You can find the best looking guy and he can be a total jerk
yep but ya know what i seen some pretty ugly chics with some really hot guys n they say its bc she is prettier on the inside i guess that means she is sweet and nice and blah blah blah i dont care if someone is cute then we can work from there if they r ugly they need not apply
True! But, the cuteness is most likely to fade when you get older. What's gonna be left is your heart and personality. Especially when we are elder. We'll have many wrinkles. But that's just part of life. And looks are decieving. Many people have friends or bfs or gfs for their looks. Everything ends up totally wrong. They live a sad, sad life.
would u like if u were ugly and no body would talk to u no u wouldn't u may be pretty and have a nasty attitude and be ugly and have the most nicest attitude that is wat it means

    OK.
I have known many beautiful women that are ugly inside. A truly beautiful woman is beautiful inside and out.
what you look like will change with time, but who and what your are for the most part will stay the same
well I guess when you get old

    you;ll feel like crap

    get ready to kill yourself

vanity, you should read the portrait of Dorian Grey
I think you are on the right track. It is good for a young lady or even old lady to care about her appearance. You should always do that especially if it makes you feel good to do so.

However, maybe you have yet to have a day where you look like a million bucks, not a hair out of place or smudge on your nail polish and you still feel like crap.

Some of the prettiest people do the ugliest things...and that is why beauty is only skin deep. Have to be able to look past that and see something else worthwhile because cute ain't everything, and physical beauty fades fast.

MEAN PEOPLE AGE IN DOG YEARS....if you know any next time you see them remember i told you that.
The saying certainly seems daft in an age where women especially are consistently brainwashed into believing they are imperfect and must buy products to address those imperfections.

Neverthless whats inside does tend to show through our attitudes to our fellow humans and creatures...I guess thats why we sometimes see ugly, [ by commercial standards] people with amazingly attractive partners. [ by commercial standards].

If you think you look like crap, chances are your brainwashed by the media and not realising how much model pics are 'improved ' with airbrushing and multitudinous other techniques. Did you ever actually see anyone that perfect in real life? Relax..your boyfriends right. He obviously loves you as you are.
pretty is only skin deep, beauty goes to the bone. That is to say if a woman thinks she's pretty she's more than likely shallow and if she's beautiful why then there's no rubbing it off... I new a true beauty once her scent is still in my mind....
feeling good for yourself is fine by looking good. the expression is based on that there is more to a person than just looks. there is inner beauty.

Setting up my own Skin Care line/beauty range?

So I am 16, and it's my dream to have my own skin care like and makeup range. What would I have to do, in order of studying, university etc? It's my passion, and ambition.

I speak French also, and would love to base my line in Paris, and make it big. I am prepared to put every single living second into this business. I want it to be big. I don't want any sarcastic answers either.

Thank you in advance.Setting up my own Skin Care line/beauty range?
have you ever heard of michelle phan?

shes a famous beauty guru on youtube and recently she set up her own cosmetics/skincare line (its called IQQU). its doing really well. and shes only like 19! (i think) it must be possible to do cos shes a full time art student too without any sort of beauty training.

beauty school would mean you have all the background knowledge about what needs to go in your products, ingredients etc...however a degree in something like business management would help you in organizing profit etc and marketing your line. its up to you!

What did women use to take care of their skin in the olden days before beauty products are made?

example: using lemon for fairer skinWhat did women use to take care of their skin in the olden days before beauty products are made?
I dont know but Im guessing they didnt have as many skin problems as we do today...less pesticides, less toxins, more natural foods and less synthetic hormonesWhat did women use to take care of their skin in the olden days before beauty products are made?
well, first off, their skin problems didn't vary as much as ours do today. hormones weren't exactly raging back then like they are today by the time some young women are around their teenage years. thus, most women either used herbal medicines that supposedly worked. otherwise, i've heard that some girls were given a bar of soap to wash their face before their wedding day.

if only it were like that today...
    well...a good scrub..natural one...and all natural products...

they could stop their hair from graying too
I don't think they really did take care of their skin... but a lot of makeup usually helped them with the look they desired. So did wigs.
I dont know but they dont have any skin problem bcz they never use cemicals or any other medication which can give bad effect and they alwasy eat helthy food, vegetables..
They used the fat from their animals after they were killed for food they would rub it on their skin
Mud lots and lots of it
Do you notice that up until sometime in the last century pale skin was considered more beautiful? Women stayed out of the sun as much as possible. They would use things like parasols to walk outside to keep them shaded from the sun. This kept them from having as many wrinkles and getting sunspots. Also freckles become darker when they've been in the sun, so freckles weren't as apparent then.

Also, I believe that they did mud treatments a lot, too.
It depends on what time period you are wondering about!

I do know that rich, southern women used put bella donna in their eyes to make their pupils dialate, because they thought it would make them more desirable to available men.

What are some useful beauty/ style tips especially including makeup, (short) hair, skin care (acne), ect.?!?

well if you should first go to a try on some massacre and eyeliner to see how you feel wearing that if you like it then go and get the eyeshadow just start adding up on more makeup but however do not overdue it you do not want to look like BOZO the clown. For your hair you should try different styles for short hair

like the new spikes, tiny flips, hard curls, and more. For acne try proactive it workd good , but for over the counter medicine get Noxema or Clean and Clear night and day creams then your face will clear.

Which of these skin care lines is best? Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty, Jane Seymoure or Victoria Principal?

I currently don't use anything for my skin becuase just about everything breaks me out or causes some other allergic reaction but I'm 29 years old and am already starting to see fine lines, some not so fine especially in my eye / cheek area. I also have a few dark spots on my skin that I'd love to get rid of. I think these spots and early wrinkles are from tanning out in the sun during my teens and early 20s. I wasn't a heavy heavy tanner but I never wore sunscreen at all when I was younger. I really want to try a good skin care line. Which of these if any, do you recommend for helping with my skin problems?Which of these skin care lines is best? Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty, Jane Seymoure or Victoria Principal?

Have you checked into Arbonne Skin Care products? I had a hard time finding something for my skin because of sensitivity, etc. I was introduced to Arbonne and fell in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Arbonne is Swiss formula that uses all botanically based ingredients and has a pH of 5.5 (which is ideal for skin). With any product, the first few times of use, you might break out due to impurities being pulled to the skin's surface...then you clear up. Arbonne carries a product line for young girls, 20+ (to help prevent fine lines and keep skin toned) and 40+ to help alleviate lines. A baby line is also available that is wonderful for eczema. I liked it so much I became a consultant! If you would like a free sample, please e-mail me at kimcreed001@yahoo.com and I'll get one out to you! You can also visit my website at www.kimcreed.arbonne.com for more info!
Most products contain the same ingrediants--it's the packaging you're paying for.

Since you have sensitive skin, try Nutrogena products. Be sure to use a sunscreen of at least SPF 15 ( it should protect against both UVA and UVB rays).
I completely understand. I am in my early 30s and the lines were showing, especially on my forehead. I've read a really helpful review about the Jane seymour skin line and you may want to see it too.(http://www.glamouredited.com/reviews/nat鈥?/a> I did take the author's advice and went ahead and purchased the revitol system. It's been about four months and I've notice dramatic differences. I admite, their website is kind of ...sketchy, but hey, as long as it works right?

I haven't tried Victoria Principal or Cindy Crawford's system. I suggest you read some reviews on them.

Anything can be irritating to the skin, but i believe something w/o added chemicals is better. you should try and experiment and see how your skin responds to different products or different skincare recipes.

i like plain raw honey on my skin as a facial mask and add it to my skin creams(has minimal chemicals in it)

Crushed strawberries brighten the skin and has the AHA in it. depends on you and your skin even if it's natural you can still break out, but i believe natural is the way to go.

Sheabutter(raw) west and east african blended or olive oil and virgin coconut oil. All work better in winter, spring or fall. i tend to break out in summer weather.

xHow to take care of your skin/beauty tips?
well do you wash your face before you go to bed every day? do you take off allllll your make up??? you have to or else bacteria will get all in your face leaving you with acne and i know your probbaly no owrried about that if you dont already have it, and i dont really think that makeup causes wrinkles lol i maybe wrong but....

just make sure you take off all that make up before you go to bed!:)How to take care of your skin/beauty tips?
Moisturize your skin with a facial moisturizer after washing your face (not sure why you use icy water? I'd use a gental cleanser like Noxzema and warm water when washing my face). Let moisturizer have time to absorbe into your skin and then apply makeup. And don't use so much makeup, it is probably aiding in your skin drying itself out.
im 15 too maybe you shood wash your face on the regular without any makeup cuz thats wats aging your face ppl guess my age too b like 13 or somthing based on my face so yea you shood definitly like..wash your face with warm water or get dove cleansing cloths wet it and clean your face with that it really works. [: well for me rusults may vary lol jk o yea dont use so much make up cuz it breaks out your face
Well, i would reccomend you buy some exfoliating gloves. They're really cheap, and they work really well. All you do is wrub them on your skin while your showering or in the bath, and your dead skin will be removed, so your fresh skin is smooth and in good condition. You should also moisturise when you have come out of the bath/shower. If you exfoliate, your false tan would apply much easier and you wouldnt have any patches or anything.

If you ever feel the need of your face needs a good cleanse, you should use cleanser, then toner, and then moisturiser, (i reccomend the simple brand). Also use a cotton pad when your cleansing and toning your face. Firstly you should cleanse it, but don't wrub it into your skin, you wrub it across your skin to remove the dirt from your face, even if you arent wearing make-up at the time. It also opens your pores to remove dirt from inside them. You then use your toner, this seals in all your opened pores from using the cleanser, so that you wont break out, or cause any blackheads. You just simply wipe it across your face. You then finish off your cleansing your face with a nice face moisturiser, this seals in your moisture, and prevents dry patches (which you get).

Here are some more useful tips for you :)

*when you pluck your eyebrows, do it after the shower,

*pluck your eyebrows near a window for lots of natural light, so you can see all your grown hairs.

*use some numbing gel after you have plucked your eyebrows, (dont use it before you pluck, because they might get greasy so its harder to pluck)

*Apply your makeup in natural light, so you can see what your doing properly.

*If you dont have curly eyelashes, use eyelash curlers.

*If you dont have heated eyelash curlers, use a hairdryer to warm them up, be careful though, its tricky!

*I reccomend a mineral or powder foundation in the summer, because it's hot, so you don't want to have a claggy face.

*when you apply blusher, either smile or suck your face in to find your cheekbones and the apples of your cheeks.

i hope this helped, very long - i just enjoy helping people with these kind of things :)

Is it worth going to beauty school to get a license as an ethetics/skin care specialist for $6,500?

It can be very worth it and very rewarding. I don't know what state you're in but the price you listed is not unreasonable at all. Just a few things to remember:

Beauty school is going to teach you the basics-everything you need to pass your state boards (written and practical exams)

Going to work for yourself right out of school can be an expensive proposition so keep your eye out for equipment as you go along. If working for yourself as a contractor is what you want to do, look for bargains in equipment and training materials wherever you can - esthetic shows, ebay, used equipment, etc.

You will learn MOST of your skin care once you're out of school. I can't stress this enough. Continuing education is not only required by many states it's almost imperative to becoming a successful esthetician. Technology and chemistry in esthetics is changing so fast and the public is very aware of every little buzz word so you really need to stay up on new technologies if not to use, them, at least to be able to talk intelligibly about them.

Know that coming out of school everyone with a skin care line or new fangled piece of equipment will hound you for a sale. Start fairly basic out of school and research your products and equipment well.

There's lots of $$$ in Facial/Body Esthetics and it can be a very rewarding career. It's also a little scary in such a litigeous society so practice, practice in school even though it tends to get boring and you'll want to learn more than they are probably going to teach you. If you can, find a mentor so that when you graduate you have someone to help you with more advanced esthetics or considering going to a CIDESCO school to further your career. Joining the NCA or other like association will help as well. You can get insurance coverage for your business, discounts on equipment, etc.

Where I live, going to work for someone else just out of school pays very little for at least 2 years but after that you can start earning a bit more. It just takes time to build up your skill set, clientelle, and knowledge.

Remember too that you have several avenues that you can take an esthetics license. You can do skin care, go on to medical esthetics, any number of areas...

Good luck to you! I hope you enjoy school (if that's what you choose). I've been in the beauty biz for over 20 years and love it!

LRIs it worth going to beauty school to get a license as an ethetics/skin care specialist for $6,500?
Actually, in CO it is more than $6500. It is worth the money....other places could cost considerably more...In the U.K. you have to go to school for 2 years so think how much that could cost you.Is it worth going to beauty school to get a license as an ethetics/skin care specialist for $6,500?
    yes its worth

there is lot of scop to earn money

skin care products: Aveeno has one that is redness reducing designed for people rosacea. as for makeup bare minerals is good, but very expensive. I would go for physicans formula or almay makeup products. both lines are designed for people with sensitive skin. I work at a drug store and lots of my customers tell me how great both are and how much less irratated their skin is by them.I have rosacea and so my skin is very sensitive, i need beauty care tips.?
Find a practioner that does lymphatic drainage. It will make a significant difference with the rosacea.

Stay away from acidic or retinol/vit. A products.
try bare minerals their really great....my mom have rosacea and uses it and it looks great....

Philosophy skin care of juice beauty?

I'm having difficulty deciding what skin care line i should try. I've been going back between Philosophy, which has many many raving reviews, and juice beauty which uses organic ingredients. I've been trying to live greener and that includes skin care. I'm just not sure if Juice beauty will work our because the reviews have been mixed (is also kind of expensive for the amount you get). Philosophy is definitely not all natural but has effective ingredients that have worked for many people. Does anyone have any experience with either of these brands or can recommend another brand that's either organic/natural and effective, or should i just go with Philosophy. Thanks!Philosophy skin care of juice beauty?
I like Jafra. The skin care is made with botanicals and there 4 different lines depending on your skin type.

Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?

Yes. I don't check for the organic seal, but I do use natural and non toxic beauty products. I also avoid Sodium Laurel Sulfate, which technically is natural, derived from palm, but it not good for the skin and is responsible for rain forest destruction.

I use the skin deep cosmetics data base to research which known and suspected hazards are in various products.Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?
Yes, but I don't use commercial products that are ';organic'; but still have a million crazy ingredients that I can't pronounce. Organic certification for body products is not the same as food- I don't think it means anything at all if a body product says it's ';organic';.

However, I try to use simple products and I use very few. I don't wear makeup, and I use mostly castile soap, shea butter, baking soda, etc...things I wouldn't be afraid to eat.Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?
Yes, I actually do. I have read on Project Weight Loss about a green diet that I intend to follow. Going green is a trend that is gaining popularity. Many people think it鈥檚 expensive to live green, but that鈥檚 not true. If you think about it, going green is all about healthy lifestyle, leading to healthy environment. A healthy life means less money spent on medicines and a healthy environment means less money spent to be healthy.
More and more people are becoming aware of the harmful ingredients they have in cosmetics and skin care products nowadays. It is always a good idea to use all natural brands like Janika

  • What does it mean when someone say Beauty is only skin deep; don't skimp on skin care?

That sounds like an advertising slogan to me. The original saying, ';beauty is only skin deep';, means that physical beauty is superficial and a person can be beautiful on the outside and ugly on the inside. Following that statement by saying not to skimp on skin care is encouraging people to enhance that illusion. If it's not an advertising slogan, then it's probably intended as an ironic comment on human nature. It's easier to change your outside than your inside, so whoever said that is suggesting that if you're a terrible person you should work harder at looking good. If that's the case, it's more of a joke than serious advice, because no external makeover can hide a person's true personality. What does it mean when someone say Beauty is only skin deep; don't skimp on skin care?
Obviously it means that since a person can only see you from the outside (Meaning they can't see who you are and how you act on the inside), you should try your best to make a good first impression with the way you look.

Basically, it's saying 'No matter what you do, people initially judge you based on the way you look. You might as well invest a little bit of your time making yourself look nice'What does it mean when someone say Beauty is only skin deep; don't skimp on skin care?
The beauty of a person only skin deep, the outer look only,

the goodness is all of him deep inside, that we normally do not try to see in him
    Beauty is only skin deep

    Meaning

    Physical beauty is superficial.

    Origin

Proverb. First found in a work by Sir Thomas Overbury's, 1613:

    ';All the carnall beauty of my wife, Is but skin deep.';

What his wife thought isn't recorded. There is a fanciful work attributed to Overbury called A true and historical relation of the poysoning of Sir Thomas Overbury, 1651. Perhaps she had him worried?

'Skin deep' is now also used to allude to anything superficial. An early use of this was also attributed to Overbury in 1613, in Ordinary Fencer Works, 1856:

    ';His wounds are seldome above skin-deep.';

Moisturiser? Beauty related question - skin care routine?

Right, I'm 17 and I'm having a tough time trying to find a good moisturiser. I was thinking especially now it's getting hotter, I could use my sun lotion as one, as it has lots of protection and antioxidants but moisturises as well. It works just as good. What do you reckon? Any suggestions? What do you use? Oh and if you could tell me your skin care routine that would be great. I just use a facial cleansing bar from The Body Shop and moisturiser. Thanks in advance!Moisturiser? Beauty related question - skin care routine?
The best regimen for healthy and hopefully clear skin:

    1. Wash with a gentle cleanser (don't overwash though)

    2. Tone with a moisturizing and alcohol free toner.

    3. Moisturize with a product that is either oil free or non-cosmodegenic with a SPF.

    4. Exfoliate 2 or so times a week.

    My regimen:

    1. Proactiv solution in the evening when my breakouts are more intense. (but doesn't work very well on small whiteheads or blackheads)

    OR

    1. Origins Get Down Deep Pore Clay Cleanser (really good for white heads! got rid of the small bumps on my face in about a week. clay cleansers or masks are really good for the skin, but can be slightly drying if it's a cleanser)

    2. Origins A Perfect World Toner. this is an alcohol free toner that has white tea in it which is great for hydrating the skin and preventing environmental damage.

    3. Clinique dramatically different moisturizing GEL. I use the gel even though I have dry skin because it is oil free.

    4. 10% Benzoyl Peroxide as a spot treatment. This you can get from target but it might be more expensive. I get mine from Kaiser Permanente for about 5 dollars, and it's not a prescription. It's very drying so use it in small amounts or just continuously moisturize when it's flakey. I apply this three times a day on the problem area, my acne goes away in a couple days.

    Recommended Drug Store Products:

    1. St. Ives Apricot Scrub (I use gentle)

    2. Nivea Moisturizing Toner

    3. Oil free or Non-cosmodegenic moisturizer with SPF. (Neutrogena / Dove / Cetaphil / Garnier )

Clinique has a really great SPF daily moisturizer called SUPERDEFENSE TRIPLE ACTION MOISTURIZER SPF 25.

I actually really like this product, it just wasn't right for my skin personally. I will probably buy it again in the future and give it another shot. it's loaded with anti-oxidents and vitamins to protect your skin from everyday environmental damage. love it.Moisturiser? Beauty related question - skin care routine?
It's generally a good idea to use the same brand for your facial cleanser, moisturizer, and foundation - that way you don't have to worry about the ingredients working against each other. However, this is a general rule. I use Clean and Clear face wash and Cover Girl tinted moisturizer. That way I don't have to wear foundation, and there's an SPF in it.

Look for a moisturizer that is water-based, not oil-based.

If your sun lotion seems to work with your skin, blocks UV and all that, keep using it. Finding the right moisturizer is a highly individual process.

Where can I find japan skin care named shiyumi beauty secret?

it has anti pimples lotion %26amp; masque, anticeptic lotionWhere can I find japan skin care named shiyumi beauty secret?
Sorry but I have to tell you that that is just a piece of so many fake Japanese cosmetic brands..

What are your best skin care tips??? or beauty tips..?

I always use Clean%26amp;Clear Morning Burst. I also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub. With both of them, you can really feel the product working. Also, a little tip, if you get a really big pimple, put some toothpaste on it for about two minutes. It will dry out the pimple. Also, I heard this, but I have honestly, NEVER tried it, so I don't know if it works, but mustard supposedly takes away redness. Don't quote me! Haha. I know that it works with curling iron burns, but I'm not too sure if I trust putting mustard on my face for acne...

Another little tip, washing your face in a hot bath or shower is a lot better for your skin. The steam from the hot water opens your pores and makes it easier for your face to get the deep clean that it needs.

If you use the neutrogena wave, you can use the cleanser on the pad, and then put the St. Ives apricot scrub on the used pad to get a deeper clean. What are your best skin care tips??? or beauty tips..?
i wash my face everyday with mary kay 3 in 1 cleanser. in the morning i use the day serum and moisturizer. at night i use the night serum and moisturizer.

    my makeup...

after i moisturize i use, foundation-concealer-powder-bronzer-blus鈥?pencil-lipliner--lipstick and or gloss.

that's maxxed out, i will use more or less depending on the look i'm going forWhat are your best skin care tips??? or beauty tips..?
No matter how late you get or and how drunk you are, always take your make up off before you go to bed! And drinking loads of water helps you keep a clear complexion. I have to cleanse and moisturize my skin religiously every day (although I use moisturizer that costs about 拢2, I don't believe that those face creams that cost hundreds of pounds are any more effective) and the product I couldn't live without is Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. It really works and looks really natural and clump free. And I always wear sunscreen when I go out that's at least Factor 25, even if it's not sunny, as I have really pale skin and sun damage causes really bad aging.
i swear by Glaxal Base..it's pretty expensive, but it's so worth it. it's VERY moisturizing. lasts for hours.

sunlight! be careful though if you have pale skin. i have olive skin, so i tan easily.

vaseline is great for chapped lips..

never use too much makeup. i only use makeup on my eyes and lips. i stay away from the rest of my face. foundation (no matter what the commercials tell you) always clog your pores.. it's not good for you.

infrared saunas are great for skin. i own one, but if you don't... i dunno. i don't think they have them at salons...but if you can get your hands on one, they're great.
for skin the product i love is either the neutrogena wave, it leaves my skin so soft %26amp; feeling so clean!, or the pink grapefruit cleanser, i think its neutrogena too.

%26amp; my number one tip for skin is do not touch or pick at your face ever! your hands have all kinds of dirt and stuff on them so when you touch your face, you transfer all that crap onto your face.
Never EVER fake and bake. It triples your chances of getting skin cancer. Never go out in the sun or even on cloudy days without wearing a sunscreen product, at least 25 or higher SPF.

A great skin cleanser is Cetaphil. It is about $10 - 15 per bottle but lasts for many months. Another cleanser is Phisoderm but you might need a prescription for that one as it is not easy to find.

I love to use eyelash conditioner under my mascara as it keeps my lashes curled all day.

I only buy makeup when there is a gift with purchase so that I can try a variety of products rather than paying a high price for just one item. Check the Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc counters in your local department store. They will be happy to do a complimentary makeover for you, might give you some samples, and can show you tricks that work for your face and your skin. They will also tell you what promotions are coming up so that you can plan your purchases.

I use a makeup/moisturizer cream instead of each separately. It seems to flow on smoother and lasts all day.

I always use a lipliner as it keeps the lipstick from migrating out from your lips.

Remember that makeup is supposed to enhance your best features and should not be used to paint on another face.

Even though I normally wear foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara, lip liner and lipstick, I have found that in summer a light or colourless lip gloss is all that I need.

Juice Beauty Organic vs. Marcelle vs. other skin care products?

I have acne-prone skin, nothing severe, but random blemishes around my face, especially on my forehead and chin. Also, my skin can get really oily, but can also be stubbornly dry in other areas.. if that helps.

I've been using Neutrogena products for the past two months or so, it's been helping, some days are definitely better than others, but its not doing much for a long-term effect, so I was thinking of changing it up.

Do I have too much Beauty stuff? (skin care, lotion ect.)?

lol I am OBSESSED with beauty stuff. Not because I am low-confidence I just like to pamper myself and look nice. I have sooo many face cleanser so I will alternate ( 2 neutrogena face srubs, noxzema, cetaphil) and I have 2 tonera (one for winter and one for summer). Since there was a bath and body works sale I did a CRAZY stock-up and got a lotttt of lotions and body sprays. I know I will use it all, but is it just too much? I actually only have to body washes (one thats calming and one thats energizing) and one shampoo and conditioner. I might have a bit more makeupi then I need, but its good for special occasions. You may thing this is a stupid question but sometimes I feel guilty for gettting so much beauty stuff. I mean, I get it all the time! at least 2 times a month I will get a few things. And I have ooooodles of lip gloss (but I use it all up). Btw, I'm 13 and I can afford this stuff so it's not a matter of being worried of being broke. Thanks! :)Do I have too much Beauty stuff? (skin care, lotion ect.)?
No, everyone deserves to be pampered.

Using toooo many face washes can cause your face to breakout even worse then before. But, as long as you switch them up and don't use like seven different face washes a day, you'll be fine.

Also, it's perfectly normal to stock up on body washes and sprays, it's fun being a girl and being able to pamper ourselves and collect the things we like.

If you can afford it, do it. We all deserve some pampering. I work at a Spa, it's my job to pamper people. We ALL need it at times. =)Do I have too much Beauty stuff? (skin care, lotion ect.)?
Uh. Well, are there other things you want besides beauty stuff? Mp3, clothes etc? I think you would have too many when you don't even use the stuff more than once in a week. That's when you know you just bought stuff you don't need or like. I suggest doing research before you buy stuff so you'll really like the stuff you buy. And, besides, you can always give away extra unused stuff as gifts or exchange them with friends. So, no, I don't think you have too much beauty stuff.
You only need 1 cleanser. I get the Bath and Body Works sale. It is a great time to stock up. As far as ooodles of lip gloss it sounds like you are just having fun.

    Enjoy!
Who cares. We should pamper ourselves. You can never have too much!
I understand you love the stuff, but be careful because some things cause odd reactions to other products. But hey someone said you can never have too much, and really you kinda can't in a way. be beautiful, but be smart too!!
Hey I am 13 too my mom buys all ym skin care and beauty stuff too... meh if they keep buying it for you then who cares? It just mean you are one lucky person ;) Anyways the product is out there for you... so why not try em.. and buy em?? lol ok cya
maybe, could be, I would say so.
It's totally fine! Just as long as you don't go overboard and wear everything all at once! lol... It's good that you care so much about your skin and body, and it will get rid of problems (acne, etc.). As long as you use it and don't let it go to waste, or it's not controlling your life, such as lower your grades because you are too preoccupied with makeup or something, it's perfectly fine. I hope this helps!

I no this sounds gross but I do it once a week and in 13 so I do get pimples. Just use one egg white a bad of green tea lil bit of bakeing soda and ground up oat meal. Belive me it's works just leaf it on till it's dry!!!How to care for skin at home without buying beauty products from store?
it doesnt take that much honestly, just get a cloth and wash your face, dont push to hard, just push hard enough where you can feel the dead skin come off u face, your skin should feel smooth and almost squeaky, do it every day and you have perfect skin..YAYY
seeing as you don't want to buy products, just make sure u wash your face often not with soap. just plain water. your not going to be able to make your skin fair until you get rid of the acne.
I would just advise washing your face every morning and night and after any exercise. Also watch the make up you wear.

Finally a show made for US!!! =)Radio Talk Show on Beauty Tips and Skin care ect, Would You Participate? *Native American Indian Women Only*?
    Sure, why not?

Currently going through chemo - should I cut my hair or not? My Nation is kind of vague about the traditional ';rules'; about cutting hair, but it is falling out by the handful (literally) and I don't want a few straggly, long - 3 foot, wisps of hair that the chemo hasn't touched dotting my scalp. It already looks horrible...actually, as horrible as I currently feel. I have considered a wig, but I don't think that it is a natural look, but then again, neither is the effect from chemo.

I asked some of my elders about the entire situation - they have given me mixed messages depending on the gender of the elder asked...pft.

I use a witch hazel tincture daily as an astringent - have for as long as I can remember, so did my mother, and her mother, and so on. It either works wonders, or I have been blessed with good skin. lolRadio Talk Show on Beauty Tips and Skin care ect, Would You Participate? *Native American Indian Women Only*?
I don't wear make up, or any beauty products. I wash and do my hair with Johnsons baby shampoo and wash. My hair is long, I braid it down the back or put it in a pony tail. So no, I wouldn't. My 13 yr old daughter would though, my 9 yr old daughter would not..
I would participate. And I can get you plenty other n8tv women who will. Cool that you're doing this!

  • Black/Hispanic Beauty Question: Good facial skin care products?

I'm a mixed black and hispanic teen, and it's been hard trying to find good skin products. My skin is not that Beyonce complexion, yet it's a similar color, it's always dry becuase I'm constantly washing my face. I doin't even really get pimples but blackheads which are horrible, and make my face always seem so dirty.

Basically I'm wondering if anyone knows a skincare regime that'll get rid of black heads, minimize pores, mosterize my skin, and even my skintone from all those dam acne scars!

I've already heard of Proactive, I have it.Black/Hispanic Beauty Question: Good facial skin care products?
wash your face less often. this works for me. when i washed my face once a day my face was really dry and i broke out all the time. i rarely wash my face, especially not with soap alone. when i do, i use the neutrogena scrub that was mentioned above. neutrogena makes great products. good luck to you!Black/Hispanic Beauty Question: Good facial skin care products?
    PROACTIVE!!

I use to use all different sorts of over the counter face wash/face creams, etc. but ever since I used proactive i will never buy anything else. It may be a bit expensive, but when you see the results it's worth the money.
For blackheads and pore minimizing I use Biore products. try their strips for blackheads and for minimizing pores try their pore minimizing facial cleanser. Always take ur makeup off before u go to bed and try not to touch ur face alot cuz that can also cause blackheads. A good moisturizer is Pond's cream or skin milk. Also try putting a lil dab of petroleum jelly with the moisturizer u have now. I'm a hispanic teen too hope this helps =)
I'm black and when I was a teenager, I constantly got pimples and from those pimples I got plenty of scars. I tried everything and nothing worked. But when I hit 21 they just stopped coming. I used a bleaching cream to get rid of the scars and now my face is clear. So maybe you just have to wait it out. It could be a phase.
    hi

I would advice you to try some home based remedies for skin ,hair and weight problems, this link has some good information it sure did help me so here goes,

    http://tinyurl.com/zrol5

    goodluck
If your skin is dry dont use proactiv, and never ever use bar soap on the face, it makes skin condition worse. I tell my clients that a regular skin care regimen should consist of an oil-free cleanser, milky or gel base, a facial scrub/exfoliant to use once a week, not st ives peach scrub its horrible and damaging, try neutrogena's microdermabrasion system its great. Also you want an oil free moisturizer one preferrably with spf of 25 or more. Using a scrub will help reduce blackheads, otherwise they need to be extracted professionally, they are hard to get rid of at home. A good skin care line is Eminence organics, but if budget doesnt allow it try neutrogena, its the best over the counter line. Good luck!
what i use and recomend is a facial scrub (neutrogena) and use toner afterwards. you only have to do it once a day. its great! your skin will feel silky soft! usually about 1 week or 2.
    proactive is the best
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
Skin is skin ,regardless of what color it is.Don't be silly.
I use proactiv as well,my breakouts are down to very rare but i sitll like my face is two toned/blotchy.But proatciv has a lot of different products you could try.
Try MARIO BADESCU skin care line, you can log in to their site at mariobadescu.com and you can also fill out a questionnaire where a professional skin care adviser can help u select the best products for your skin. They are a little pricey but also fantastic ,with no chemicals.

It doesn't matter how much beauty products you have. Just make sure you use all of it, i mean, if you have stuff you aren't using then you should probably throw it away. oh ya, and make sure that your not spending like 100 dollars on beauty products a month cause if you are, that's just overrated.Do I have to much Beauty stuff? How to care for skin at home without buying beauty products from store?

i have very bad acne and i also need to make my skin fair please tell me a way to do this with products at home. plus i want soft skin. How to care for skin at home without buying beauty products from store?

It's most likely because your not aloud to work on other students, during school hours...Your suppose to work on clients, not students....There is no way to solve the problem, It's the rules and your gonna have to follow them.Im going to beauty school to be a skin care specialist.I need so many services done before i can graduate.?
I'm not really understanding the problem. Surely they tell you who you can practice on--maybe you're not supposed to use other students. Ask how you can get the practice you need.
You need to try and get experiene in a beauty salon and also majority of places provide you will a placement during your course.

avocado is good for your hair, and so is mayonnaise is also good.. peach and strawberries and oatmeal is good for your face, as like a mask type thing. and also turmeric is good with water...for last minute pimples. and olive oil is also good for your hair. if you wash it out after 15 minutes with shampoo and conditioner.
There may be something of use here.
Here are some homemade remedies suggested by skin experts.

In order to maintain a healthy and a clear skin tone you need to use suitable medications along with a wholesome diet. In fact, the products that are manufactured are usually made up of harsh chemicals that can easily penetrate into the blood, causing damages to the other organs. Coconut oil significantly acts as a moistening material when the skin is dry and rough. Therefore it is can be appropriately used to treat various aliments such as roughened lips, eyes, broken capillaries, cellulite or burns etc. Coconut butter can be mixed with lip balm gel, eye cream or may be preserved in sterilized jars. Besides, there are many alternative medications advised such as peppermint for lips, patchouli oil or lavender for acne, chamomile for eczema and grapefruit for cellulite.

The most commonly used ointments for sunburns are strawberries, cucumber slices, gels or the leaf of the aloe vera plant. They are often easily cured as they exhibit soothing, cooling and antifungal properties. If you keep cool tea bags or cucumber slices over the dark circles of your eyes, they will reduce the dark colors formed around the eyelids.

You can also prepare a mixture of cornstarch, baking soda or essential oil to smoothen the texture of your skin. If you are applying it to your feet add tea tree oil to the toner because it kills all the tiny microorganisms that are present.

The most important tip is to consume a healthy diet such as vegetables, fruits and plenty of water. Sleeping soundly is one of the most vital activities, as it nourishes the skin.

If you follow the above-mentioned tips you will surely develop a radiant skin texture.

Proactive for the cleaning of your skin. It's good to use even after your acne goes away. It gives you a nice complexion.

For eyes use victoria principal's -';principal's secrets'; advanced continuous lift eye serum. If you like order one of her go along eye creams.

The proactive should help with the blemishes around lips.

Try household alcohol. the clear kind if you have a wound, not rubbing alcohol. Rub your neck, front and back twice daily. Gets out dirt and oil.

Use cocoa butter soap for cleaning your body.

For dandruff use tea tree shampoo and conditioner.Try Paul Mitchell brand which can be found at Sally's beauty supply or fine salons.

If this doesn't work e-mail me and I'll continue to help. Good luck.
If it is soon I wouldn't go with pro acitive. For acne if you have minor then use a certain spot treatment which you can get at any drug store. For Dark Circles underneath the eyes put wet spoons in the freezer and once they are pretty much frozen then place them under your eyes. That might help. If it isn't gone or didn't work try using a concealer lighter than your foundation but make sure it is not too light. And put that on before you put on your foundation. If you want nice looking skin put Coco Butter on your body parts that you want to make it look nice and wear it to bed. If that dont work you can go to any drug store and buy Skin Milk that works really well too. For blemishes around the lips you can put chapstick around it that might work I never really had that problem but it is a try??? If you want an even tan go to a tanning salon and around your neck put lotion sround it that might give it a nicer look. Dandruf well you can use a head and shoulders shampoo that is directly made for dandruf or any shampoo that is recomended for to treat dandruf.. I hope this really helps and Congradulations.....
for problem skin you should use gram flour, yoghurt, honey, aloe vera and milk on your face once a week, for dark circles you use use almond oil around the problem area and for dandruff rub half a lemon on you hair and wash with yoghurt.

Protect your skin from the sun with a block that screens both UVB and UVA light. Make sure your sunscreen contains both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. There is no perfect sunblock, but wearing any lotion with a SPF of 15 to 30 is still effective.
