Sure, why not?
Currently going through chemo - should I cut my hair or not? My Nation is kind of vague about the traditional ';rules'; about cutting hair, but it is falling out by the handful (literally) and I don't want a few straggly, long - 3 foot, wisps of hair that the chemo hasn't touched dotting my scalp. It already looks horrible...actually, as horrible as I currently feel. I have considered a wig, but I don't think that it is a natural look, but then again, neither is the effect from chemo.
I asked some of my elders about the entire situation - they have given me mixed messages depending on the gender of the elder asked...pft.
I use a witch hazel tincture daily as an astringent - have for as long as I can remember, so did my mother, and her mother, and so on. It either works wonders, or I have been blessed with good skin. lolRadio Talk Show on Beauty Tips and Skin care ect, Would You Participate? *Native American Indian Women Only*?
I don't wear make up, or any beauty products. I wash and do my hair with Johnsons baby shampoo and wash. My hair is long, I braid it down the back or put it in a pony tail. So no, I wouldn't. My 13 yr old daughter would though, my 9 yr old daughter would not..
I would participate. And I can get you plenty other n8tv women who will. Cool that you're doing this!
